YouTube will roll out Picture-in-Picture mode to iPhone 13 Pro & 14 in the coming days

After a long test phase, the Picture-in-Picture mode will be deployed for iPhone users.

Completed test phase for Picture-in-Picture mode on YouTube

Many Internet users thought that the picture-in-picture mode (or “Picture-in-Picture” in English) had been abandoned by YouTube, after a long test phase started in August 2021. Indeed, until yesterday, this very practical mode was offered in beta to users of YouTube Premium on iOS. However, the feature no longer appears on the paid subscription overview page , which simply means that it has been removed.

And it’s finally very good news that awaits YouTube users: the social network has indicated, via Twitter, that the picture-in-picture function will be available for all users of iOS 15 and higher versions “in the coming days . “.

Are you using an iOS smartphone? If so, the Picture-in-Picture feature is still rolling out & will be available in a matter of days across all iOS 15+ devices. Tweet back@us if needed.

Picture-in-picture functionality, really available to everyone?

While it is now guaranteed that all users of the premium version of YouTube will have access to this mode, it is difficult to confirm 100% that it will also be accessible via the free version of YouTube, based on the tweet above.

Moreover, it is clear that Google wants to go in this direction. Indeed, last February, the company told Mac Rumors.

We are still planning to launch the PiP feature for all users without YouTube Premium subscription in the US.

While the function has already been available for several years on Android, will the picture-in-picture mode finally be accessible to all iOS users? Final answer in a few days.

  • On March 30, 2022, YouTube TV tweeted that “picture-in-picture is now rolling out to your iOS 15+ devices.” A YouTube spokesperson told TechCrunch at the time that the feature will be available to iOS users of the flagship YouTube app in the “coming months.”

The New Apple Watch 7 Bands 2022 ad Sparks Controversy 9/11

Apple chose to elevate its advertising to a whole new level. A new commercial for Apple’s Watch Apple Watch Bands 2022 has caused quite some controversy.

Apple wants us to be aware that purchasing a watch at more than $500 is an issue of life and death so it was the decision to express these sentiments in the most recent advertisements for the device. The advertisement is titled “911” (a U.S. emergency number) and features talks between the operators and people who were able the moment of the accident to call 911, nearly in the middle of the grave.

Of course, it is true that all three cases featured in the advertisement are happy ones, but Apple is also claiming that, without Apple Watch 7, Apple Watch Bands 2022 7, these people could have died on their own. On one hand, the ad does possess certain advantages but contrary to that Apple is merely using the fear to get consumers to purchase a watch which could one day bring us back to life.

It’s important to note that the idea Apple promotes in the video you see following is…a basic phone call. The only difference is that it’s made using a watch instead of a phone, that we carry around in our pockets.

The AmbientSonos Roam Review Smallest, Wireless, Cheapest, most Portable Sonos Smart Speaker yet

Sonos-Roam-Review clickemagazine

A Small Speaker with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, & Air Play 2

The flagship of compact wireless Smart Speakers.

The Sonos brand is a newcomer in Latest Tech Gadgets, but a very well-known player in the US audio systems market. The Sonos Roam speaker! That we tested is one of the most affordable solutions in the manufacturer’s line up. It’s compact and stylish and has some cool features that come with a hefty price tag. Is the device worth its money and to whom it can recommend, let’s try to figure it out in this review?

Table of Contents

  • Specifications
  • Appearance
  • Connection and application
  • Features of the device
  • Sound
  • Autonomy
  • Outcomes

2 amplifiers, tweeter, mid-range speaker

physical buttons, app

Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n / ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Air Play 2 (iOS 11.4+)

USB Type ‑ C

IP67 waterproof, Qi-charging, True play technology

16.8 x 6.2 x 6 cm

430 g

The speaker comes in a small cardboard box along with a USB ‑ C to USB cable.  Which is another advancement in Latest Technologies. The device itself wrapped in a simple felt case. It is quite thin and serves, rather, an aesthetic function.

The main body of the Roam made of matte plastic. The mesh front surface is metal and hides the original honeycomb pattern underneath. In one part of it, next to the company logo. There is a connection status diode, on the other side there is a battery charge indicator.

The ends of the Sonos Roam made of soft-touch rubberized material. On one of the edges, there are four miniature silicone feet that allow you to place the device.

The USB Type-C connector is place. So that the speaker can charge in any position. Next to it is the power button. In the end. Which is closer to the logo. There are four more physical buttons. That can help to adjust the volume, pause/play, and start the voice assistant.

The Roam has a very discreet yet stylish design. We had a dark version on our test, but there is also a light version. Both will be able to fit into almost any interior and will look good even on a bookshelf, even on a desktop. And the presence of protection against water according to the IP67 standard means. That the Sonos speaker is also not afraid of the street. If necessary, will keep a company at a picnic or in the country.

Connection & Application

The Sonos Roam cannot connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth like most other speakers. First, you need to install the proprietary Sonos app. It is available for both Android and iOS.

In the application. You need to create an account, confirm it using the link in the letter, and connect to your home Wi-Fi network. Immediately, Roam will offer to update and enable the True play function. Which adjusts the sound to the environment, listening to it using microphones.

The Sonos app isn’t for show – it’s a useful service for tweaking sound and various smart features. Yet, it is rather strange.

That without registering in it, the Roam cannot use as a simple Bluetooth speaker. Only after authorization can you find the device in the list available for pairing.

The application itself allows you to connect a bunch of streaming services. Like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Yandex Music, YouTube Music, Last.FM, SoundCloud, etc.

There is even Storytel and Book mate for audiobooks.

Once connected, you can manage them in Sonos turn on playlists or saved tracks, look for new music, but likes. If this seems inconvenient. You can go to the application of the selected streaming service with one click.

Another useful feature of the app is Sonos Radio. This is a huge collection of radio stations from all over the world. They can search by genre or even by location. This is a great addition to the speaker’s capabilities. Especially if you’re used to listening to local stations or some chill out channels. It is also worth noting the presence in the application of a simple equalizer system. As well as the ability to set alarms with music playback. There is also support for voice assistants. But they are not available in some countries, not even Google Assistant.

Features of the Device

In the regards of Technological Advancement its Wi-Fi support allows you to use Sonos Roam without a Bluetooth connection. If your smartphone and speaker are on the same home network. In this mode, a white status indicator is on the case (blue when connected via Bluetooth). In both cases, you can use all Roam’s features without restriction.

Music over Wi-Fi is convenient. You don’t have to connect your smartphone. Everything works much more stable and faster. Delays in the response of the system are almost not felt.

Wi-Fi in such a small & smart speaker is rare, but Air Play 2 support is no less a cool advantage. This option will be a plus for owners of Apple devices.

Another great feature is the ability to pick up music on another Sonos speaker. By using Sound Swap technology. To do this, you need to hold down the play button on the second speaker so that it picks up the music stream from the first. True, for this, the second device also needs to add to the application.

We tested this feature with the Sonos One SL, a much more powerful home speaker that runs on AC power and Wi-Fi only. It will out-shout Roam. So, it is more suitable for the living room, while the compact device is better placed in the bedroom. You can adjust their volume in the application. Which is very convenient.

Inside the Sonos Roam, there are two Class H amplifiers. A Racetrack midrange driver for vocals, and one tweeter for high frequencies. The system does not emphasize lows by default. But you can add bass to the application! By unscrewing the corresponding slider in the equalizer. The difference will be noticeable.

Omit, the sound is bright and detailed, especially for a device of this compact size. The column reveals vocal parts and the sound of strings well. It’s great for funk, jazz, classical, alternative, or rap. worse – for synth-wave, house, and other electronic music.

The Roam has a large power reserve. Enough even for a summer terrace. The less volume control step will allow you to adjust the sound to your preferences.

The manufacturer claims about 10 hours of music playback. We got about eight with Spotify, which is not bad either. The speaker is charge via the USB-C port. The adapter itself is not included, but it will fit a smartphone. The Sonos Roam also supports Qi wireless charging. For it, you can buy the Sonos Roam Wireless Charger stand.

The Sonos Roam looks and feels like a premium device. The speaker’s sound quality is excellent, but only considering its small size. It has managed to squeeze the max content out of this size and shape, and this is one of the main features of Roam.

The device costs 215$. Which is a lot. Especially considering the huge number of competitors with lower prices. But, few of them can offer support for Wi-Fi and Air Play 2, as well as a handy music app. That allows you to combine many streaming services & many of radio stations in one place.

Roam can offer not only to those. Who was looking for such opportunities, fit in a compact case? But also, to those who are planning a single audio system in their apartment. After all, this speaker can connect to other Sonos acoustics. Be it something more powerful or another Roam speaker of the same type, which will stand in another room.
